It’s the second instalment of getting back to raw Blues! After so much time away from gigging last year, I want to try and capture that feeling again. I’m playing just like I would at a live gig. Hitting record going wherever with it. No overdubs, no comping, just a one take performance.
One of Robert Johnson’s iconic recordings made in 1936, this remains one of my favourite tunes to do. There’s so much space in a slow Blues like this and it really gives you a lot of freedom to play exactly what you feel.
